Stage 2 melanoma
Stage 2 melanoma is divided into three parts:
- Stage 2A: the tumor is between 1 and 2 mm thick and is ulcerated, or it is between 2 and 4 mm thick and not ulcerated
- Stage 2B: the tumor is between 2 and 4 mm thick and is ulcerated, or it is more than 4 mm thick and not ulcerated
- Stage 2C: the tumor is more than 4 mm thick and is ulcerated
In stage 2 there is no sign that the cancer has spread to the lymph nodes or other parts of the body.
