Melanoma immunotherapy

Research is continuing into potential new melanoma treatment approaches. One of these is immunotherapy. Immunotherapy is still in development, but could be a future new treatment option for melanoma. It could potentially be used alone, or in combination with other forms of treatment.

ASCI: a new form of immunotherapy

ASCI* (Antigen-Specific Cancer Immunotherapeutics) is a new form of immunotherapy. It is a potential new melanoma treatment that uses your own immune system to target cancer cells.

Data from early clinical studies using an ASCI* for treatment of melanoma have led to the setting up of a large Phase III clinical study called DERMA. In the DERMA study, ASCI* is being investigated as a potential treatment for patients with stage 3B or 3C melanoma that has spread to the lymph nodes . If you are interested in participating in DERMA, why not discuss it with your doctor? Click on the link on the right of this page to find out more.
