Stage 3A lung cancer
Stage 3A lung cancer* covers two different situations. Either :
- The cancer has spread to lymph nodes that are further away from the affected lung, but are still on the same side of the chest Or
- The cancer has spread to the nearest lymph nodes only, but has also spread to the chest wall, the outer covering of the lung, or the middle of the chest
Doctors call stage 3A lung cancer “locally advanced disease”.
*staging information refers to NSCLC only
