ASCI: a targeted approach
Because ASCI targets a particular cancer antigen, it will be used in patients whose cancer cells have been shown to display this cancer antigen. That’s why patients will be tested for the presence of this cancer antigen before being given an ASCI treatment.
This approach has already been tested in groups of cancer patients (lung cancer and melanoma). It led to the initiation of a large clinical study in the treatment of lung cancer (Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer).
